While we treat a myriad of scar types at our clinic, some respond more effectively to treatment than others. Primarily, red scars show the most effective response. These are generally newer and still have an active blood supply, which makes them more receptive to interventions.

White scars, on the other hand, are more challenging to treat. These are typically older scars where the skin has fully healed and no longer has an active blood supply. For such cases, we recommend the Dermapen4™ treatment, which utilises micro-needling technology, or the BTL Exion RF micro-needling.
